welcome to abecedarians music search, honoring abecedarians by providing the entire 25 year history of the compact disc, and some vinyl counterparts, for the serious collector, as well as recognizing some lesser known - but essential - bands/labels for you to discover (or revisit). we have been collectors of rare and collectable music  since the late 80's/early 90's - and online offering these rarities since 2001. many of the new and used cd's on this site are first pressings, out of print, and/or hard-to-find. all cds at abecedarians music search are official releases.

we offer a large selection of import and domestic releases, including creation/rev-ola, 4ad, factory records, and eg records artists, as well as promo-only releases and special editions and new/still sealed japanese mini lp CDs and box sets...

...we're proud to offer the largest online collection of new/still sealed cd longboxes,  those long cardboard boxes that originally housed compact discs from 1987 to 1992. quite ecologically disastrous at the time, but increasingly difficult to find still sealed ones today...after all, to get to the cd, one had to destroy the box.  here at abecedarians music search, we have nearly 100 still sealed, never opened, original record label cd longboxes, ranging from the beatles and  david bowie to the waterboys and zz top. check out our selection, which will take you on nostalgic trip back to the early years of the compact disc...
